Websites and interfaces for the events industry

I design and build the digital side of conferences: registration flows, programme sites, attendee journeys and the front-end code behind them.

Crafting Seamless Digital Experiences for the Meetings & Events Industry

A designer who knows the venue

I am an experienced Website Designer, UI/UX Specialist, and Front-End Developer with a focus on creating visually stunning and highly functional digital experiences for the event and meeting industry. With a deep understanding of the unique needs of event professionals, I design and develop websites that not only captivate audiences but also enhance event branding, streamline attendee engagement, and provide seamless navigation.

By blending creative design with user-centric functionality, I help event planners and organizations showcase their events, improve attendee interaction, and achieve their digital goals with precision and impact.

The rundown

What I work on

Seven areas, drawn from the event floor rather than from a service menu.

Conference websites

Programme, speakers, sessions and travel in one place, built to survive late changes.

Registration and Cvent

Registration builds, confirmation flows and the on-site pickup line.

CMS and LMS

Content the events team can update themselves, plus course delivery where training is involved.

UI/UX

Wireframes, journeys and interface design, tested against how attendees actually behave.

Front-end

The design built as code: responsive, accessible, and quick on a venue network.

Graphic illustration

Illustration and graphic systems that carry an event brand across print and screen.

Event photography

Documentary coverage on the day, feeding the same visual system.

Registration

The first five minutes

Registration is the first impression of an event. If the queue stalls, or the confirmation email never arrives, nothing else you planned gets the credit.

I build the page, the confirmation, the pickup flow and the reporting behind it, then walk the whole path on a phone before anyone stands in line.

  • Registration pages
  • Confirmation and reminder emails
  • On-site badge pickup
  • Attendee data and reporting

Plenary

Designed and built by the same hands

Wireframes, visual design and front-end code come from one person, so what gets approved is what gets shipped. Nothing is mislaid in a handover.

Design systems and components keep a programme site coherent when twenty sessions are added in the final week.

Layout
Responsive from a phone in a hotel corridor to a stage screen.
Access
Contrast, focus states and keyboard navigation handled as standard.
Systems
Components and templates the events team can reuse each year.
Speed
Light pages for venue wifi and a phone at 2 per cent battery.

The floor

Where the eye gets trained

Overhead flat-lay of a camera, printed proofs and illustration sketches.

The hobby work keeps the visual instinct sharp. Documentary event photography and hand drawing are where the layout and illustration decisions come from.

How a project runs

Five stages, no surprises

  1. Brief

What the event needs, who it is for, and what already exists.

  2. Structure

Sitemap, attendee journeys, and the pages that carry the real work.

  3. Design

Layout and interface direction, reviewed before any code is written.

  4. Build

Front-end build, CMS wiring, registration and email flows.

  5. Publish and after

Launch, then the small changes that always follow a live event.
